The Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN), and the United States of America (hereafter the “Parties”) signed the Asset Return Agreement on 20th February 2023 in order to enable a transparent and efficient repatriation of Funds accruing from the Forfeited Assets for the benefits of the people of Bayelsa State. The Agreement sets out the basis and mechanisms for the transfer of the Forfeited Assets.
